Here at Specialized Driving Force we run courses in line with L117 (Approved Code of Practise). We cater for Novice, Existing, Refresher and Conversion candidates both In-House and National Certification. All courses cover HASAWA, LOLER, PUWER, Pre-use checks, Theory and a Practical Test.

Following a successful completion of a course will enable you to:

• Identify all controls of the Machine
• Carry out routine maintenance Undertake pre-start checks
• Inspect vehicle and comment on serviceability
• Operate the machine safely to load and unload
• Operate safely in a confined space
• Operate at different working heights
• Operate under different driving conditions

Lift trucks are widely used for moving materials and goods, but they are involved in about a quarter of all workplace transport accidents. The deaths and injuries caused can ruin lives and businesses. Even when an incident does not cause injury, it can still mean costly damage to lift trucks, buildings, fittings and goods. As an employer you are required to provide basic training and testing for all lift-truck operators you employ (both new and existing) in line with HASAWA 1974, PUWER 1998 and L117, the Approved Code of Practise for the training of operators of rider operated lift trucks. Properly trained operators can reduce the risk of lift-truck accidents in your workplace.
